After the earthquake: assistance continues

Since the earthquakes that covered the South of Kyrgyzstan, it has been more than two weeks, but work with the population continues. Recovery from emergencies is a long and complex process, in which cooperation between all parties - state authorities, local authorities and the NGO sector is very important.

Thus, the process of distributing humanitarian aid among the population affected by the disaster in the second half of November continues. According to the situation at the moment, the essential goods were distributed for a total of 2,882,460 soms.

We emphasize that for successful work on the restoration of communities after the disaster, it is necessary to make joint efforts. For example, the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) provided 300 hygiene kits and 300 containers for water as humanitarian aid for residents of Alay, Kara-Suuy and Uzgen districts.
